A FAMILY need to raise £5,000 to treat their dog who has developed a rare cancer.
Emily Mann, from Basildon, set up the GoFundMe page for their family dog Stella, a rescue dog who they have had for three years.
A few months ago, she was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a rare, aggressive cancer that develops in the bone.
They were told with treatment she could live for between one to two years, instead of one to two months.
Emily said: “The vets at the cancer clinic have told us Stella is a fighter and it would be such a shame just to give up on our beautiful girl.
“Anybody who has lost a dog will understand how painful this is for us, we just don’t want to lose our girl.”
