SOMETIMES proposals can be cheesy but this couple had more than just a slice of romance.
It's normally tradition for a man to propose to a woman but on leap day it's time for women to get a pizza the action which is exactly what Sarah Bayes did.
Sarah, from Basildon, decided to pop the question to her partner, Phill, on leap day yesterday with help from Pizza Hut.
Speaking in the video, she explained how she came up with the idea for a pizza-based proposal as it is the couple's favourite takeaway food.
She said: "Whenever we order out, we always get a pizza. He will come home from work and say 'I'll treat you tonight, I'll get you a pizza'. He will always make me feel better."
Sarah unveiled the pizza, complete with a heart made of olives and two rings inside a tiny stand, with the message "marry me?" in the lid.
She donned a Pizza Hut delivery uniform and rode a moped to her front door where she surprised her shocked boyfriend, Phill.
