TRAINS between London and Southend are being cancelled and delayed due to the hot weather.
A post on Abellio Greater Anglia's website reads: "Due to speed restrictions imposed this afternoon between Liverpool Street and Shenfield from 11am to 10pm and between Shenfield and Southend Victoria from 1pm to 5pm, train services will have to run at a reduced speed.
"Some train services will be cancelled or revised as a result.
"Passengers travelling from Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria may travel on c2c services between Fenchurch Street and Southend Central from 4pm until 7pm.
"We apologise for the inconvenience caused."
c2c services are also sufering minor delays due to the high track temperatures.
