A BURST watermain and icy conditions on a busy dual carriageway has caused traffic chaos in south Essex.
The root of the trouble has been caused between the A130 and Sadlers Farm.
The section of road is closed due to a burst water main, believed to have happened last night, and icy conditions caused by cold weather means the road is expected to remain closed throughout the morning until this afternoon.
To compound drivers' misery, there has also been delays on the stretch of road heading the other way.
The A130 Northbound has very slow moving traffic between the Sadlers Farm Interchange and the A127 (Fairglen Interchange).
It has caused heavy delays as commuters attempt to find alternative route.
It has meant there are queues on the A1245/A130 Northbound towards the A127 from the Pitsea Flyover.
The A127 Londonbound is seeing cars queuing traffic back from Rayleigh Weir to Victoria Avenue (Cuckoo Corner).
There are also delays on the A130 from the Rettendon Turnpike to Fairglen.
The A1245 Northbound has slow traffic from the A129 London Road to the Rettendon Turnpike (Old A130).
