A CHILDREN’S choir took to the stage to celebrate a church’s refurbishment and cultural activities.
The Watoto Children’s Choir performed at the Avenue Baptist Church, Milton Road, Westcliff as part of the church's Cultural events after the alterations to the building, to hold events like this.
The Choir comprised of 18 children and 10 adults all from one of the Uganda Watoto Villages and have all suffered the loss of one or both parents.
Watoto Children’s choirs have travelled extensively since 1994, sharing a message of hope for Africa's orphans and widows.
To date, the choir has toured six continents and performed to audiences in schools, retirement homes, churches, parliaments, state houses and royal palaces.
The choir will be performing at various Essex venues over the next couple of months before the rest of the UK.
