A PILE of flytipping has been dumped in a layby on the A127.
The bricks, tyres, plastic bags and other items were abandoned on the eastbound carriageway just past the Nevendon Interchange.
Commuter Kirsty Saunders, 27, of Southend, said: “I was on the other side of the road and saw the pile morning.
“It was huge and really close to the nearside lane - it could have been really dangerous if some of it had spilt into the nearside lane.
“It is such a shame that people just dump their rubbish like that as it looks awful and costs so much to clear up.
“It happens all the time along that stretch of road.
“You often see sofas dumped, caravans and other piles of rubbish.
“I don’t know why people choose the A127 as it is a busy road and it is so dangerous to dump rubbish there.”
