A man has been arrested after a collision northbound on the A130 near to the Rettendon Turnpike.
A lorry was in collision with a barrier at around 12.55pm today, Tuesday, August 21, with a large amount of fuel spilt across the carriageway.
The road will be closed northbound between the Rettendon Turnpike and Howe Green overnight and into the morning with repair works needed on the road and the barrier.
A 57-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and remains in police custody.
Witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage is asked to contact Stanway Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting incident 574 of August 21.
