REPORTS are emerging that an elderly man has been knocked over on a busy road in Rochford.
Residents reported that the man was hit at a zebra crossing on Ashingdon Road, during the rush hour and the school run.
Essex Travel News on Twitter confirmed that the accident had happened outside the primary school. They posted on Twitter: "Ashingdon Road, Rochford blocked by an accident outside St Teresa's Primary School - near junction with Somerset Avenue."
At 10.30am, the road was still partially closed.
Essex Police and the ambulance service were contacted for a comment.
The incident was cleared, with the road re-opening at 2.30pm this afternoon.
