CHOP shops full of stolen car parts have been found in Benfleet.
Essex Police's firearms support unit along with officers from Basildon and the roads policing unit discovered a cut up Range Rover inside a van on Friday.
This led the teams to the discovery of two locations where suspected stolen cars were being broken down for their parts to then be sold on.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the discovery on suspicion of vehicle thefts.
In a tweet posted on Friday, the roads unit said: "Some excellent teamwork yesterday from @EP_RPU_South, Basildon LPT & @EssexPoliceFSU finding two chop shops full of stolen car parts in #Benfleet.
"Then two males being arrested sus theft vehicle after we stopped this van which had a suspected stolen cut up Range Rover in."
