Hundreds of cannabis plants have been found in a drugs bust.
The large cannabis farm, believed to have a street value of at least £235,000, was discovered in an undisclosed location in Westcliff yesterday.
It is the latest in a number of cannabis cultivations found across Southend in recent months.
Two people were arrested at the scene.
A spokesman for the Southend Policing team said: "The Southend Proactive Team excuted a drugs warrant in Westcliff today, we recovered a drugs cultivation with a street value of £235,000.
"We arrested 2 people at the location and successfully charged and remanded them both
"Big thanks to Southend Town Centre Team who helped dismantle it with us during the warm weather."
Essex Police have been contacted for comment.
