A MAN will appear in court tomorrow charged with seven offences including robberies of taxi drivers and possession of a knife.
Marcus Piper, 26, of no fixed address, was arrested in Southend in the early hours on Thursday, October 22.
He has been charged with the robbery of a taxi driver on August 22 in Colchester Road, Southend, as well as the robbery of a taxi driver on September 5 in Tickfield Avenue.
He is also charged with attempted robbery of a taxi driver on September 6 in Palmerston Road, Westcliff, and robbery and possession of a bladed article at Station News, High Street, Shoeburyness, September 12.
Piper will also face charges of robbery and possession of a bladed article at Londis in Ronald Park Avenue, Westcliff, on October 14.
He will appear before magistrates in Basildon on Friday, October 23.
