A MAN has suffered a head injury after an ambulance crashed while responding to a 999 call.
The accident happened in Shoebury Common Road, Shoebury, when the ambulance and a car collided at 9.50am on Thursday.
The two people in the car were injured.
A man in his early 20s was flown by Air Ambulance to the Royal London Hospital having sustained a head injury. He was in a serious but stable condition.
The other man suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Southend Hospital.
No one in the ambulance was injured.
