BASILDON skier Caroline Powell has secured her second silver medal of the Winter Paralympics.
Powell guided Jade Etherington to second place in the visually impaired women's slalom event this morning in Sochi.
Etherington, who is from Lincoln, clocked 1:00.87 In her first run to lead the field going into e second and final run.
But Russia's Aleksandra Frantceva hit 59.82 on her second run, it's Etherington clocking1:02.01 to finish with a combined time of 2:01.89, 0.65 seconds adrift of the Russian.
Etherington and Powell, who lives in Langdon Hills, had already won a silver in the downhill and a bronze in the Super-G ahead of this morning's competition.
