KING John School’s girls were crowned district champions at the Castle Point and Rochford Athletics Championships.
The Year 7 girls and senior girls both won their age groups with the Year 8 and Year 9s both finishing runners up. The points were added together and King John won by 30 points beating local rivals FitzWimarc.
In the Year 7 age group, King John were dominant, winning by more than 30 points with Maddie Condon, Maxine Frimpong, Erin Lee and the relay team crowned champions.
In the Year 8 age group there was a win for Nicole Cooksley in the hurdles.
In Year 9 Poppy Douglas was double district champion winning the hurdles and the long jump and Emily Cosgrove won the 300m.
