STUART Bingham has beaten Mark Allen to win the Shanghai Masters.
The Vange potter stormed to a 10-3 triumph over the number 10 seed to win his second world ranking event, having been in charge from the onset of the contest.
Leading 6-3 at the end of the first session, he started the second session well, winning what proved to be a very important 10th frame – with both players struggling to hit top form, before moving into a 9-3 lead and taking the title without ever hitting top form.
Bingham had beaten defending champion and world number one Ding Junhui in the semi-finals to set up the clash with Allen.
He pockets £85,000 for his win.
