A LATE strike from Charlie Little secured Hullbridge Sports' passage in the FA Vase.
Mark Bliss' side scored in the final 10 minutes, despite the absence of the last round's goalscorer Rory Clark, who was injured.
Sports started well and Little headed a good opportunity wide after only 60 seconds. But there was little between the two sides with the major talking point coming with 12 minutes left on the clock.
A deflected free-kick was claimed by Bobby Mason but an opposing player slid in and caught the stopper. Mason reacted and both were sent off.
And, with the tie seemingly destined for extra time, Little seized upon a defensive error to shoot beyond the keeper and hand the hosts the lead.
They play at Flackwell Heath in the next month.
