CONCORD Rangers wrote another chapter in their history after crushing Conference Premier leaders Barnet 6-2 in the FA Trophy.
The Beach Boys had recorded an admirable 0-0 draw on Saturday and proved more than a match for the Conference Premier favourites once again at the Hive, reaching round two for the first time.
A first half strike from Steve Cawley had given Danny Cowley's side the advantage but a controversial penalty, converted by Bernard Mensah, drew Barnet level at the break.
But a goal frenzy in the second half handed Concord the lead once again, and it was quite a goal.
Sam Collins hit a superb curling effort from outside the area into the net to restore the underdogs' advantage.
Moments later Lewis Taaffe made it 3-1 before Barnet hit back through another penalty - Matty Stevens converting the kick.
But Cawley's second of the game handed Concord a two goal advantage once again.
And when Mitchell Pinnock scored his first for the club, a fine curling strike from 25 yards, Concord's progress was secured.
Tony Stokes added a sixth three minutes from time.
They will visit Hemel Hempstead Town in the second round of the competition in January.
In the Ryman Premier League, East Thurrock United won their second away match in a week, with a fine 2-0 win at Enfield Town.
Sam Higgins' 18th goal of a remarkable season and a second in injury time from Reece Harris moved Rocks to within a point of their opponents, and within touching distance of the play-offs.
Canvey Island were beaten in the Essex Senior Cup by underdogs Redbridge.
The Ryman One North outfit equalised in the final minute against the Gulls, who had lead through Ashley Dumas.
But misses from Charlie Barlow and Joe Carter in a penalty shoot-out meant it was another miserable night for Danny Heale, as they went out 4-2.
