Bowers & Pitsea 6 Sporting Bengal United 1
A Lewis Manor hat trick helped Bowers & Pitsea stroll to another win over bottom side Sporting Bengal United at The Len Salmon Stadium on Tuesday night.
Lewis Manor opened the scoring and then turned provider for Aaron Russell, before a second half onslaught saw Manor add a further two to his tally, followed by Jamie Salmon’s deflected strike for number five.
Sporting grabbed a goal back late on to make it 5-1. However, the hosts’ full back Vinny Durrant chested down from a corner and lashed home right on full time to make it six for the home side to maintain 8th place in the league, whereas Sporting stay rock bottom.
Clapton 2 Hullbridge Sports 1
The Tons came from behind to defeat Hullbridge Sports 2-1 at The Old Spotted Dog on Tuesday.
Hullbridge took a deserved on 21 minutes lead when Jamie Buffin put the visitors in front, however a minute before half time Clapton levelled.
The hosts’ second half domination paid off with two minutes when they grabbed the winner to ensure the hosts took the points.
