LAINDON’S James Hornsby High School is producing a stream of champion sportsmen and women.

Leading the way is their 14-year-old boxing sensation Rio Emmins who has been crowned national champion after winning the ABA Junior Cadet Championship’s 48kg class.

Elsewhere, the school has had great success in trampolining.

Sharna Robertson and Connor Greenslade have been crowned Basildon District under-15 champions while Josh Tatham won the individual under-13 championship before teaming up with Harry Cockburn and Carl Bourne to become team district champions.

Also, the school’s under-16 boys football team have won the Basildon district cup, the first football trophy won by the school in nine years.
