SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown insists he is fully focused on the Shrimpers, despite being linked with a switch to Portsmouth.
The 55-year-old Blues boss is rumoured to be attracting interest from the Hampshire club who are currently seeking a replacement for Andy Awford.
But Brown claims he is only interested in making sure he wins promotion with Southend this season.
“I’ve got massive job to do here,” said Brown.
“We’ve got a minimum of four games to go and the task is to get promoted.
“That’s what I came here to do and my focus is purely on that.
“We want to get in the top three but if it’s the play-offs then we will focus on that and I certainly will be too.”
Southend remain fifth in the League Two table, five points below the top three after tonight’s 2-0 win against Newport County at Roots Hall.
