SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown has revealed he could finally sign his contact with the Shrimpers today.
Brown has been discussing the deal for close to a year.
But he hopes to sign the three year contract before heading off to Spain this evening.
“I will have two to three hour meeting at the football club and hopefully we can get it sorted during that time,” confirmed Brown.
“I’m heading off to Barcelona later today and it would be nice to get the contract sorted out before I go.”
Brown has been in charge of the Shrimpers since March 2013 and guided the team to promotion, via the League Two play-offs, at the end of last season.
Echosport revealed last week how the new contract will also see Brown become a share-holder in the club.
