SOUTH Essex Gymnastics Club claimed medals and passes with distinction at the Essex recreational grades one and two meeting at Colchester Gymnastics Club.
In the level one competition Florence Wardle-Tomlin was crowned the overall winner with a score of 50.60, which was enough to hand her the gold medal.
The following gymnasts from South Essex also competed in Grade one – eight to nine-year-old age group and all passed with distinction: Freya Schild, Tegan Bragg, Lexie Goodman, Evie Fuller, Isabel Freed, Dulcie Olufawo and Scarlett Hulbert.
In the 10/11 age group for Grade one Jessica Leaves came in second position with a total score of 49.55 to take the silver medal.
Both Mime Faulkner and Esme Dyos passed with distinction and, in the 12+ age group, Fern Watts passed with distinction too.
In the Grade two 9/10 competition Amber-Rae Danniells passed her grade.
Also passing their grade with distinction were: Hannah Newbrook, Millie Gutch, Melody Barton, Alyssa Price, Shania Aloisio, Harriet Fuller, Katherine Knatchbull, Katie-Rose Hawtree and Laney Shipman.
In the 11/12 age group Isabel Ebsworth finished in second with a score of 48.60 and took the silver medal, and Georgia Stuart-Evans finished in third position (48.40) and taking the bronze medal.
