SOUTHEND United centre-back Cian Bolger suffered a shoulder injury during tonight’s 0-0 draw at Doncaster Rovers.
The Irishman was forced off midway through the second half at the Keepmoat Stadium.
But boss Phil Brown, who now has just four fit available defenders, does not yet know the seriousness of the setback.
“Cian’s shoulder popped out and he had to come off,” said Brown.
“He will have it x-rayed tomorrow and we will know more about it then.
“But as it stands I’m down to my last four defenders which is a concern and I certainly don’t expect Cian to be fit for Saturday’s game with Swindon.”
