SOUTHEND United winger Kevan Hurst was forced to miss Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Swindon Town after picking up a hamstring injury.
Hurst had started two of Blues' three League One games so far this season.
But he was unable to face the Robins.
"Kevan tweaked his hamstring in training on Friday and wasn't available for the game," confirmed Blues boss Phil Brown.
"We will know more about how bad it is in the next couple of days but hopefully it's nothing too serious."
