SOUTHEND & EMT have been crowned Essex Sunday League T20 champions.
Southend beat two Premier League sides on their way to winning the competition for the second season in succession, beating Waltham in the final at Southchurch Park.
Southend skipper Chris Gore said: “It is very pleasing to win the competition for the second season running,” said Gore.
“Beating two Premier League sides along the way shows how far the club has come.”
Waltham scored 150/6 from their 20 overs with Michael Gridley taking 3-34 and Joe Robbins 2-24.
In reply Southend reached the required total for the loss of just three wickets with Robbins (52 not out) and Joe Sibbons (45 not out) top scoring.
