SOUTHEND United's Myles Weston was forced to miss Saturday's 2-2 draw against Rochdale with an Achilles injury.
But Blues boss Phil Brown hopes the winger will be able to return in Saturday's FA Cup clash at Scunthorpe United.
"Myles has an Achilles problem," explained Brown.
"He's had an injection and fingers crossed he'll be OK for next week now."
But Blues now also have fitness doubts surrounding skipper John White for the trip to Glanford Park.
White limped off injured midway through the second half against Rochdale.
However, Brown does not yet know the extent of the injury.
"I don't know how serious it is at the moment," he added.
