SOUTHEND AC’s Adam Hickey enjoyed a race to remember in the Brighton 10k.
Hickey crossed the line first in a time of 29 minutes and four seconds for a new personal best which also broke the course record and his own club record.
Hickey’s previous best was also set in the same event last year.
In the Brighton Marathon there were personal bests from Gary Cheek of 3 hours 10 minutes and 10 seconds.
Justin King recorded a 12-minute improvement with 3:16:54 while Paul Dawson also made a huge improvement as he finished in 4:53:54 after finishing last year in 5:19.
Jon Brown’s ran was hampered by an injured calf but he still finished in 4:43:02.
