PIOTR Malarczyk would be open to returning to Southend United next season – providing he can play more regularly.
The Polish defender, who is with Blues on loan from Ipswich Town, finally made his debut against Bradford City last weekend.
And the 24-year-old is now keen to feature more regularly.
“I would be open to coming back here but I haven’t spoken to the manager so I will need to see what happens because I want to be playing regularly wherever I go,” said Malarczyk.
“I think I will try and go on loan again next season because I want to be playing.
“This has been my first year in England and at times the differences have been quite big.
“But I will try to find something next year which means I can play more.”
Malarczyk, who made just three starts for Ipswich before joining Blues, spent six games on the bench prior to his debut against the Bantams.
However, the centre-back insists he has still enjoyed his spell with the Shrimpers.
“I really liked my time here,” said Malarczyk, who should start against Bury this weekend.
“I would like to have played more but I played the last game and hopefully I can play on Sunday too.
“We hope to get the win.”
