BASILDON United are through to second round of the FA Vase after winning 2-1 at Crawley Green.
Nathan Dewberry and Hamid Zamani hit the goals that ensured the Bees’ progress against the South Midlands League Premier Division side.
Dewberry struck a brilliant opener after six minutes, with Zamani striking the second on the hour mark.
Hullbridge Sports were humiliated in the Essex Senior League as they were walloped 6-0 by FC Romania.
Clement Palimaru put Romania ahead after five minutes before the score-line was doubled just minutes later.
Three down inside 10 minutes, Sports conceded another before the break as Hullbridge looked for a drastic improvement after the break.
Two goals in the final 20 minutes completed the rout as Sports end the evening lying in second position.
Southend Manor were 2-0 winners against struggling Enfield 1893.
Callum Ibe scored once in each half, including a second-half penalty as Manor, despite a red card, earned the three points.
Manor ended the afternoon in joint fourth as their excellent season under Stuart Marshall continues.
