l RUNDOWN: Bowers & Pitsea will be desperate to record their first win of 2017 when Norwich United drop in tomorrow.
After an excellent start to the season, fifth-placed Bowers have lost three of the last four and conceded two late goals to draw 2-2 in their last outing at Heybridge Swifts. Tuesday’s game was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
Norwich are just seven points off Bowers and know victory would firmly put them back in the race for a play-off position.
The reverse fixture ended 1-1, with Bowers conceding a 90th minute goal.
l MANAGER’S VIEW: Bowers manager Rob Small said: “We conceded late on in the reverse fixture and missed chances to win the game. Credit to Norwich, they never gave up and got the goal they needed.
“But both teams have made some new signings since then so I imagine it will be a different game in all honesty.
“We would love the opportunity to get out there and play and I hope the pitch survives the next 48 hours.”
l TEAM NEWS: Bowers signed attacker Billy Jones from Cheshunt on Wednesday night, with the 15 goal striker expected to make his debut.
