STUART Bingham couldn't overcome a wretched start at the World Championship as he went down 13-10 against Kyren Wilson.
The Bowers Gifford player was knocked out in the second round at the Crucible tonight.
Bingham built the highest break of the tournament with a 137 but it wasn't enough to stop Wilson moving 12-9 ahead, having trailed 5-0, 5-3 and 9-7 at separate points in the encounter.
The 2015 champion looked to be on course for the first 147 at the Crucible in five years but he missed while on a break of 80, as he reduced the deficit to 12-10.
But, in the 23rd frame, Wilson finally secured the victory and booked his place as the first quarter-finalist.
