THURROCK’S director of rugby Dean White was left suffering mixed emotions following his side’s 33-27 defeat to Cobham on the opening day of the London One South season.
White was happy with how his new look side were able to perform but was disappointed not to have won.
“We were disappointed that we didn’t get the win and we feel that we left three points on the pitch,” said White.
“That being said we are a very new group of players with a new coach and a new style of play.
“So when you take that all into account we can take a lot from this performance.
“We have a number of things to work on that we will address at training and I can only see this group getting stronger over the next few weeks.”
“But we now concentrate on our next challenge which will be a difficult game at Gravesend on Saturday.”
Trent White, Charlie Russo, Sonny Gay and Earl Gorman all scored tries for Thurrock while Jake Barrand added two conversions and a penalty.
