THURROCK slipped to a second defeat in three games, losing 20-15 at home to Medway.
The setback saw T’s slip to seventh in the London One South standings, which disappointed their director of rugby Dean White.
“It was another game that we feel got away from us,” said White.
“I felt that we were the better team on the day but we didn’t convert our chances and that’s what hurt us in the end.
“Medway are a good side and they’ve been tipped to win this league but we played some good rugby against them.
"We still have a lot to work on over this week but our performances are improving each time we run out together. Our focus is now on training on Tuesday and Thursday leading into Saturday’s game with Chobham.”
