RICKY Modeste is the first Billericay Town player to become an international footballer after he made a goalscoring debut for Grenada last night.
The winger scored after 72 minutes for Grenada in a friendly at Trinidad & Tobago.
But it was not enough for his team to claim the victory, as two goals in the final five minutes ensured it ended 2-2.
The midfielder tweeted after the result "Buzzing to make my international debut and to get a goal. Unfortunately we didn’t hold on to the win but great experience #SpiceBoyz"
Modeste, 29, will return to the UK in time for Billericay's FA Cup first round replay against Leatherhead on Thursday.
Paul Konchesky has also been capped by his country, but Modeste is the first man to be called up and selected while playing for Billericay.
