Bury Town 0-0 Bowers & Pitsea
From Ram Meadow
Isthmian North
THERE was nothing between play-off hopefuls Bowers & Pitsea and Bury Town in a well-contested clash in Suffolk.
Bowers came under early pressure, with Ollie Hughes the most likely man for the home team.
Bradley Barber’s free-kick was ruled out after the effort was deemed to have been taken too quickly.
The home team were well on top, although should have been trailing on the half hour. Tony Stokes was played through but sent his shot horribly wide from a good position.
Bury top-scorer Cemal Ramadan inexplicably failed to make contact with a cross as Bury continued to press.
Ryan Jolland was twice kept out by a busy Callum Chafer but, with Lewis Manor coming close late on, a point a piece was a fair reflection.
Bowers & Pitsea: Chafer, Boswell, Thomas, M.Stokes, Easterford, Sartain (Yuill 73’), Ashman (Clark 65’), Pinto, Knight, Adeniji (Manor 64’), T. Stokes
