THE MATCH: Billericay Town continue their bid to close the gap on the leaders Dulwich Hamlet tomorrow.
Town played Tonbridge Angels last night (see echo-news.co.uk/sport for full details) but play every two days until next Wednesday due to a brutal fixture pile-up.
And despite having five games in hand on Hendon this promises to be far from an easy match.
A point outside the play-off places Hendon have lofty ambitions of their own this season. An eight match unbeaten run was brought to an abrupt end by Staines Town on Tuesday, who romped to a 4-0 win on the same night Billericay were lifting the Essex Senior Cup.
THE INSIGHT: “We are aware of the amount of matches we have to play and we are managing the squad as we have for much of the season,” said head coach Harry Wheeler.
“We play on an artificial pitch tomorrow so we know it will be played and that is something of a relief. Hendon are ambitious and have done well this season minus a slip up on Tuesday. [Manager] Gary [McCann] does his homework and they will be ready and organised.
“In terms of the cup win, I am boring as I am always thinking about the next game. It was a great win and we will celebrate at the end of the season.”
THE TEAM NEWS: Calum Butcher may return from a hamstring strain, Rob Swaine is fit despite a nose injury.
