Rochford Hundred’s next generation of players are gearing up for another successful season.

The youngsters are keen to follow in the footsteps of the first team, who were crowned London Two North East champions last season.

And the club’s academy have been boosted by a sponsorship deal with employment and skills specialist Seetec, much to the delight of club chairman Peter Van Den Broeck.

“Our first team coach, physio, nutritionist and fitness coaches are all involved with the academy team to ensure the young players are well prepared to progress to the senior teams and have the right training and fitness regimes so this is great news,” said Van Den Broeck.

“Working with Seetec is a great fit as they are encouraging young talent outside of rugby and can help our academy players who are thinking of getting into work or furthering their education.

“Rochford Hundred really appreciates Seetec’s support, both to the club and the young people in this area.”

Seetec will be shirt sponsors for the academy during the forthcoming campaign and have also funded a revamped first aid room.

And David Reynolds, the non-executive director of Hockley-based Seetec - is pleased to be helping the Hundred move forward.

“Seetec aims to encourage and develop young talent and we hope our sponsorship of the academy will help them to thrive and succeed in senior rugby,” said Reynolds.

“The new first aid room provides much improved facilities to support all the teams but we hope it doesn’t have too much use!”

Rochford’s first team are now also gearing up for the new campaign, where they will be lining up in London One North following last season’s heroics which saw them win promotion.
