MASON Law is determined to make a speedy return to the starting grid after a high speed crash at Cadwell Park.

The Benfleet racer came off his Kawasaki ZX-10RR on a high speed corner and it was initially feared he would require surgery on a thumb injury.

He has since discovered he will not have to go under the knife but Law is still nursing back injuries ahead of the next meeting at Silverstone beginning next Friday.

And he said he has been overwhelmed by the messages of support on social media.

“It was a high speed crash at turn one which left me with the injury,” said Law.

“I have been overwhelmed by all the kind messages from the spectators on social media and really have to thank the BSB Orange Army and Medical Staff for looking after me”

Law was preparing for the eighth round of the British Superbike Championship and was looking to build on his results last time.

The racer was impressive at Thruxton, achieving a top 10 finish in both races and recording his best points tally of the campaign so far.

On Friday in Q1 Law managed to set a time of 1:28.346, which was only 0.361sec from taking him into Q2.

But on the sixth lap of Warm Up for race one, Law crashed out at Coppice a high-speed corner, which prematurely ended his weekend.

Law is now looking to recover for the next meeting held on the GP layout at Silverstone at the start of September.
