ROCHFORD Hundred are targeting more success this term but will not be getting carried away by their fine pre-season form.

Hundred - who won every game in London Two North East last season - will be lining up in London One North this year.

And Rochford’s director of rugby Chris Green is keen to make it back-to-back promotions.

“Pre-season and all the preparation has gone as well as we could’ve hoped but it doesn’t really mean anything once the season starts and we want to make sure it’s a good one,” said Green.

“We’ve added to the squad in the one or two areas where we felt we needed it and we want another season like last year.

“We’ve brought in five or six new faces and we’re looking forward to getting underway.”

Rochford have added Harry Hudson, Sonny Gay and Cam Greenhall to their squad since the end of last season.

The new recruits will be pushing to make their debuts against Amersham & Chiltern on the opening day of the campaign at Magnolia Road this weekend.

And Green is looking forward to getting underway.

“It will be good to get going again,” said Green. “Everyone feels positive at this stage because no one has lost a game.

“But we’ve prepared well and we want to build on what we did last season so we’re looking forward to the season starting. We want to make sure we get off to a good start by getting a win.”

Amersham finished fourth in London One North last season.
