ANGELA Addison is relishing her role with Tottenham Hotspur’s Ladies team.

Addison shone for C&K Basildon Ladies last season.

And the 18-year-old striker is thrilled to have been snapped up by Spurs.

“Things have been going great at Spurs at the moment,” said Addison.

“The build up to the beginning of the season has been good and I feel like the squad is ready for the season ahead.

“My hope for the season is to compete with every team we come up against, get good results and, overall, have a good first season with Spurs.”

Tottenham will be lining up in the Championship this season alongside the newly-formed Manchester United side who are managed by the Basildon-born Casey Stoney.

And Addison made the move after Spurs made an approach to sign her towards the end of last season.

“The move came around towards the end of the season,” said Addison.

“Tottenham put in a seven day request and it all took off from there.

“I am extremely happy to join Spurs.

“It’s such a great set-up and big step up for me so I’m really looking forward to the season ahead.”

However, despite being pleased to have joined Tottenham, Addison admitted she would always look back on her time with C&K Basildon with great fondness.

“My time at C&K was very special to me,” said Addison, who lives in Braintree.

“I will look back at the amazing games we all played.

“But most of all how close we all were.

“It really was like a second family.”
