RICKI Gould believes Rochford Hundred have yet to hit top form this season.

Rochford - who host HAC at Magnolia Road tomorrow - have won both of their London One North games so far this season.

But scrum half Gould feels there is still plenty more to come from Hundred.

“We have played well in patches in both games but we haven’t really hit the standard we know we can for a full 80 minutes yet,” said Gould,

“That’s definitely something we are looking to do this week.”

Rochford, who won London Two North East without losing a single game last season, saw off Amersham & Chiltern 74-0 on the opening day of the campaign before beating local rivals Southend Saxons 50-17 last time out.

But tomorrow’s opponents, HAC, are also unbeaten this term and Gould is expecting a tough test.

“HAC haven’t lost yet so I’m sure they’ll prove a stern test,” said Gould, who was among the try scorers in Rochford’s win at Southend.

“They’ve drawn one and won one but we’ve prepared well and we will also be going into the game feeling confident.”

Rochford have now won their last 24 league games.

But Gould wants Hundred to avoid becoming complacent.

“Winning is becoming a bit of a habit and obviously no one wants to change that,” said Gould.

“Saturday was a big occasion for all involved but we had the game won in 30 minutes then became complacent. Now we can focus on another big home game this weekend but we don’t want that to happen again.”
