LOOKING AHEAD: Concord Rangers will be eager to put their blip behind them once and for all when they travel to St Albans City tomorrow.

The Beach Boys bounced back from consecutive defeats to Welling United and Chippenham Town - their first reverses of the campaign - by sealing a late point against table-topping Woking last time out.

Concord’s last win came nearly a month ago against Hungerford Town but St Albans will not be easy to beat.

The Saints scored three goals in the final five minutes to beat East Thurrock United last weekend.

COACH’S VIEW: “Everything we worked on came off against Woking last week,” said first team coach Darren Beale. “We did a lot of work on them and they have only lost one game, so it was a good point.

“If you didn’t go to the game you would have thought the sending off was instrumental but I think we would have scored regardless.

“We deserved to get a second goal and it’s just a shame our goal came as late as it did.

“The point is something for us to build on and hopefully we will go on another good run like we did before the blip.

“There are no easy games in this league and we know we will need to be at our best.

“St Albans are well drilled and they came back from the death at East Thurrock last week so we know we will need to be on our game from the first minute until the last.”
