LOOKING AHEAD: Basildon United will be aiming to keep their unbeaten Isthmian North record intact when Soham Town Rangers visit the Ho Ho Stadium.

The Bees have made an impressive start to the campaign following their promotion from the Essex Senior League in the final clash of last term.

But Basildon suffered their first defeat of the season when Peterborough Sports knocked them out of the FA Cup last weekend.

Boss Marc Harrison will be looking for a response from his players but Soham manager Rob Mason will be asking the same of his side as they are still searching for their first victory of the season.

MANAGER’S VIEW: “Soham are bottom of the league but we will be taking nothing for granted, said Harrison. “I am still appalled by the way we played last week.

“I want us to get back to what we know we are about.

“We’re normally a very good side, defensively, off the ball. But we were off it last week and if we perform like that regularly then we will be in trouble.

“I can understand that Peterborough Sports were good in areas but that does not excuse the poor performance we produced.

“I still believe in the group but there will be a couple of players that will be called into the side.

“I’m looking for a reaction against Soham.”
