ENGLAND international Emily Scott was back at Rochford Hundred Rugby Club to pass on tips to those wanting to follow in her footsteps.

Scott has represented England in the 15 player format and also helped England’s sevens side win bronze at the Commonwealth Games earlier this year.

And the former Seevic College student was a popular visitor to Magnolia Road at the weekend.

“It was a fantastic turnout for the training session and the question and answer session with Emily, who herself is a former Rochford player,” said a club spokesman.

“More than 40 girls from the combined Rochford and Thurrock under-13, under-15 and under-18 teams turned out and it was great to see.

“They were put through their paces and enjoyed what was a fun and challenging session.

“Emily was also proud to give her former coach Peter Turner the chance to model her bronze medal from this year’s Commonwealth Games in Australia.”

Scott was also part of the Team GB sevens squad which finished fourth at the 2016 Olympics in Rio and is now working towards securing more success.

The fly-half, who previously played for the Thurrock T-Birds, helped Saracens women’s team win the inaugural Premier 15s last season.
