SOUTHEND United manager Chris Powell has refused to rule the fit-again Dru Yearwood out of tomorrow’s clash with Fleetwood Town at Roots Hall.
Yearwood has yet to figure this season after suffering a hamstring problem on the final day of the previous campaign.
But Powell is now considering calling the midfielder back into the squad.
“I’m trying to let my head rule my heart but he’s looking so good in training so we’ll have to see,” said Powell.
“He’s tantalisingly close but I’m not sure if he will be ready even though we know him.
“I want him for 35 games not just one but I do go to bed at the moment thinking do I put him back in. I wouldn’t forgive myself if I did it too soon but he’s on the way and that’s a positive.”
