SOUTHEND United striker Norman Wabo has joined National League side Maidstone United on a month long loan.

Wabo has scored 11 goals in 10 games for Blues’ under 23 side this season.

But the 20-year-old will now be spending the next four weeks with the Kent club.

Maidstone are now managed by former Billericay Town boss Harry Wheeler who watched Wabo bag a hat-trick for the Shrimpers in Tuesday’s under 23 clash with Peterborough United.

Wabo, who made three appearances off the bench for the Shrimpers last season, will go straight into the Maidstone squad for tomorrow’s clash at Braintree Town.
