SAMMY Moore lauded a ‘brilliant team performance’ after Concord Rangers recorded their first league victory in almost six weeks.

The Beach Boys were 3-0 victors against struggling Truro City in the National League South.

Alex Wall, Aron Pollock and Jack Midson scored in the triumph at the Aspect Arena, following last Saturday’s 2-0 triumph against Margate in the FA Cup.

And boss Moore said the team were fully deserving of the three points.

“All over the pitch we were outstanding,” he said. “The intensity was great and it’s another clean sheet and another step in the right direction.

“We have 18 points from 11 games which is a great return with a new group.

“In this league there are no easy games and we needed to earn the right to play, which we did.”

Wall opened the scoring on 35 minutes, heading in a Midson cross having survived Truro appeals for a foul in the build-up.

And Moore believed the referee made the right decision to play on.

“I don’t think it was a foul,” he said. “Wally has gone shoulder-to-shoulder with him and their bloke isn’t strong enough.

“The two boys up top were a handful and they gave us a platform to build on and everything that went into them stuck.

“We have been working hard to get out of this rut, there is no magic formula. We want them to believe in themselves.”Moore lauds 'b
