NORBERTAS Radzevicius bagged a hat-trick of tries to help Rochford Hundred beat Diss 69-7.

The speedy winger touched down three times at Magnolia Road to help Hundred go top of the London One North table.

And Radzevicius was pleased to see Rochford secure a 29th successive victory.

“Saturday’s game went well I think,” said Radzevicius, who has now scored eight tries in five games this season.

“We were given the license to have a bit of freedom in what we did, which allowed us to showcase some individual skill.

“Following that, we still kept it simple, which allowed us to play well as a team.”

And that also allowed Radzevicius to take centre stage as he scored three tries before having to go off injured.

“Scoring my first hat-trick for the club was very pleasing for me,” said the winger.

“Unfortunately, I had a little niggle with my hamstring while scoring the last try which had to stop my game there and then.

“But hopefully it’s nothing major and I’m back to full strength for the weekend.”

Rochford head to Sudbury on Saturday and will go into the game sitting top of the table, much to the delight of Radzevicius.

“Going top of the table is great and that’s where we want to stay all season now as a team,” said the youngster.

“We’re very keen on building on the win but we’ve got a tough period of games coming up now.”

Radzevicius scored Rochford’s first two tries of the game, one of which Cam Greenhall was able to convert.

Danny Cleare - who lined up at full-back - was the next to score before hooker Tom Corbet bagged the next two tries.

Moments later, Diss hit back with a converted try of their own when Rochford had been hit by two yellow cards in quick succession.

After the break, Radzevicous completed his hat-trick - despite Rochford still having 13 men - before young flanker Josh Hurley also charged through to score.

Greenhall again added the extras before new signing Sam Nash also scored on his debut.

James Kellard was the next to touch down before Greenhall and Tom Ashton also scored tries to complete another pleasing afternoon for a rampant Rochford Hundred.
