MARC Harrison has called on his ‘fearless’ Basildon United team to capitalise on their perfect start against Brentwood Town.

The Bees are eight points clear at the top of the Isthmian North having won all seven of their opening league encounters - including Saturday’s 3-0 triumph at Dereham Town.

They now travel to Brentwood, who are currently 15th in the league having won just once so far this term.

And Harrison said his team need to continue on the same trend if they are to maintain their form.

“We can’t look beyond this game,” said Harrison. “It will be tough but I believe we can get the points. We are fearless at the moment.

“We need to keep momentum and stick to our processes. We will be our own worst enemy if we don’t.

“On paper it is extra pleasing we even have a fixture against Brentwood let alone be so far ahead of them in the table,” he added.

Reece Placid is suspended, although Charlie Kendall could return.
