SOUTHEND United manager Chris Powell is not concerned who hits the back of the net for the Shrimpers.

All of Blues' goals from open play this season have come courtesy of strikers, with no midfielder or a defender getting onto the score-sheet so far.

But Powell does not mind who scores.

“If the strikers score all the goals I’ll be ecstatic because that’s what they’re paid to do,” said the Blues boss.

“But if you want to be very particular with it then yes it would be good for others to chip in with goals as well.”

Tom Hopper currently leads the way for the Shrimpers with six goals in 11 games while Simon Cox has netted in his last three outings.

Theo Robinson has scored three goals in six starts while the on loan Shawn McCoulsky has scored four goals in his two starts.
